We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Capital Markets group in our Dallas, TX headquarters. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Capital Markets team in an array of functions. The Financial Analyst will be an integral part of a small team that structures and closes financings for the company, leads corporate actions and prepares communication to the board of directors. Ideal candidates will be team players, have a strong academic track record, a passion for real estate, and comfortable working in a flexible environment.
  • Work as an integral part of a small team to execute on real estate transactions and other corporate actions, overseeing the process from underwriting to closing.
  • Manage the corporate portfolio of loans and act as point person for lender requests and compliance, including the preparation of cash flow forecasts and analyzing compliance with debt covenants.
  • Assist in underwriting investment opportunities and prepare deal recommendations for senior management and offering memorandums for external distribution and review by the larger investment community.
  • Work with department heads and other experienced professionals to gather data for reporting and presentations to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Perform credit underwriting of prospective tenants to ensure appropriate levels of security and quality of portfolio.
  • Analyze potential lease deals with a focus on net present value analysis, credit review of income statement and balance sheet adequacy, and lease terms and conditions.
  • Work with accounting teams and other departments to ensure accuracy of disclosures that appropriately represent the portfolio of loans.
  • Create financial forecasts based on market and industry data, perform in-depth industry research, review industry surveys, benchmarks, economic and demographic trends, and take information from various sources, merge the data into a meaningful presentation and be able to explain your conclusions.
  • Prepare departmental and corporate cash flow projections and take an active role in the annual budgeting process.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
  • Minimum 2 years of financial analyst experience required.
  • Commercial real estate industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial analysis and statistical background.
  • Inquisitive and intellectually curious.

  • Exposure to Argus is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
