The SVP of Enterprise Applications is responsible for the strategic and tactical management of application development and support of application platforms which include JD Edwards as the ERP platform, HFM for SEC reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting applications, Enterprise Integrations, Reporting Platform, Data-driven Decision Support, Master Data Management and Building Automation Solutions. The individual seeking this opportunity will be a strong thought leader, great people leader and excellent communicator; above all the person is expected to be an excellent collaborator across multiple business stakeholders, vendor partners and the team members. The SVP of Enterprise Applications will lead the planning, design, configuration and deployment of Enterprise Applications and business systems in support of core organizational functions and processes.  This leader will be instrumental in enabling HHC’s data driven solutions through reporting platforms, big data and predictive analytics. He/she will provide leadership by example, leveraging strong organizational, technical, process, and people management skills. Work with vendors, and with peers to develop and coordinate strategy, architecture, roadmap, budget, and execution of IT services.
  • Responsible for conceptualizing data-driven decision support systems, enabling and implementing analystics and expand the role of the current reporting platform.
  • Provide strong leadership to the various team members through mentoring, career development, interpersonal skills, teamwork ethic, and enabling leadership skills.
  • Provides oversight for systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of technical solutions within the Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1.5 ERP system and other supporting business applications.
  • Enable solutions delivery on JDE platform for the real estate industry, provide the business counterparts with the necessary thought-leadership on JDE optimization and process optimizations across multiple business segments (Strategic Development, Operating Properties, Master Planned Communities, Hospitality and Corporate).
  • Enable and develop forward looking building automation solutions that may include IoT (Internet of Things) in a pragmatic manner.
  • Provide thought leadership in real estate operations supporting software solution.
  • Responsible for the ongoing integrations through TIBCO’s Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and oversight of Concur, Nexus, P-Card, Bank-Recon and other 3rd-party systems into the Enterprise software/systems.
  • Manage, coordinate, and oversee program development and the execution of all enterprise applications development activities, including project definition, application design and analysis, programming, testing, implementation, and documentation
  • Coordinate implementation of system enhancements, upgrades, updates, patches, and fixes to assure optimal system performance, data integrity, and reliability
  • Serves as the key technical interface between IT and all business functions dependent on Enterprise Applications to determine current and future technology needs
  • Serve as “hands-on” escalation point to identify and suggest approaches to resolve project issues
  • Provides expertise around the realization of business requests and technical design specifications
  • Responsible for developing, distributing, supporting, enforcing, and integrating best practices and technology standards across the organization
  • Implement and maintain enterprise application roadmaps, including capacity planning and modeling to support short and longer term growth requirements
  • Lead vendor management activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation and ongoing vendor relationships
  • Lead multiple employees to perform at their best and manage the G&A costs to be most optimal with a balance of vendor and employee blend on a project-by-project basis
  • 15-20 years of increasingly responsible experience in managing successful projects and implementing technical solutions to business process problems.
  • Proven ability to work as an IT Leader & General Manager including experience directing multiple complex initiatives, projects from formation through deployment and creative problem solving to quickly address IT issues.
  • 10+ year of proven expertise in software technical design, planning, project management, implementation and support for a variety of Enterprise Applications Solutions (ERP, Financial SEC reporting, SOX Compliance, etc.), preferably in the real estate industry
  • 7+ years in leadership, supervisory or management position is required.
  • 5+ years developing corporate policy and procedure.
  • 7+ years supporting users spread across multiple locations.
  • Strong understanding and experience in ITIL processes.
  • Proven expertise in managing IT projects, budgets and vendors.
  • Excellent problem solving, root cause analysis skills. Able to readily diagnose system deficiencies and independently design and implement effective solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Executive presence, ability to interact with senior leaders and adapt style as needed for technical or non-technical audiences.
  • Experienced in analyzing project scope and determining resources needed to meet project demand.
  • Experience leading multiple technical initiatives through cross-functional, matrix environments using strong program and project management tools and practices.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills. Detail oriented, decisive and goal oriented to consistently exceed objectives
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in IT, Computer Science, etc.
