Keith Laird – Executive Vice President Leasing
Mr. Laird spent 18 years with the Westfield Group overseeing the management and leasing of Westfield owned properties in both field and corporate positions. His role as Westfield’s Executive Vice President, Operational Leasing made Laird responsible for the leasing and lease administration functions for the company’s 60 regional/super regional malls, which totaled 65 million square feet. Mr. Laird has a B.A. in Business Administration and Marketing from Upsala College in New Jersey. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and a previous member of the ICSC Specialty Leasing Planning Committee. |
Keith Laird is Executive Vice President Leasing for The Howard Hughes Corporation, responsible for merchandising strategy, repositioning of operating assets and driving specialty leasing and alternative revenues. Mr. Laird reports to Grant Herlitz. Previously, Mr. Laird was an Executive Vice President at Vintage Real Estate in Los Angeles, responsible for the leasing and asset management functions for the company’s core assets and a member of the company’s Acquisitions Committee.
Ken Bendalin – Vice President Asset Management
Mr. Bendalin graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Arts and attained a Certified Commercial Investment Manager designation. He is an active member and frequent conference panelist of ICSC, as well as involved with Real Estate Council of Dallas and North Texas CCIM. |
Ken Bendalin is Vice President Asset Management for The Howard Hughes Corporation reporting to Grant Herlitz. Mr. Bendalin was a principal at Cliffside Advisors, a boutique real estate advisory firm focused on the investment sale and asset management of retail properties. His career spans 18 years in the real estate industry having held key positions with the Trammell Crow Company, the Staubach Company, and Sarofim Realty Advisors. At those firms, Mr. Bendalin provided asset management and disposition services for over $500 million in retail and multifamily properties.
Michelle Waak – Vice President Leasing
Ms Waak earned her B.S. in Business from Indiana University and has her M.B.A. from The University of Notre Dame Graduate School of Business. She is an active member of ICSC and Luxury & Lifestyle Professionals. |
Michelle Waak is Vice President Leasing for The Howard Hughes Corporation responsible for assets in the Eastern and Central regions. Ms. Waak reports to Keith Laird. An industry veteran, Ms. Waak has over 17 years of experience in the real estate industry including outlet, mall, lifestyle, mixed-use and urban properties. Most recently, she was a Senior Leasing Associate at RED Development. She has also held Vice President and Senior Vice President of Leasing positions respectively with Poag & McEwen Lifestyle Centers and Holladay Properties. Ms Waak worked for 5 years at The Taubman Company responsible for fashion leasing.
Angelia Powell – Vice President Leasing
Ms. Powell received a B.S in Business Administration from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She is an active member of ICSC. |
Angelia Powell is Vice President Leasing for The Howard Hughes Corporation focused on the west coast properties both operating and development; she reports to Keith Laird. A veteran of the retailer side of the industry, Ms. Powell was most recently Vice President of Store Development for lululemon athletica based in Vancouver Canada. She has held senior real estate positions with Williams-Sonoma, Disney, The Limited, New York and Company and Gymboree.
