SOUTH STREET SEAPORT
As a world-renowned destination known for its iconic location, South Street Seaport is comprised of three historic buildings and one pavilion shopping building on the East River in Lower Manhattan. The re-envisioned South Street Seaport will create an unparalleled New York experience that is compelling to residents, local workers and tourists. The development plan includes the complete renovation of Pier 17, including enhanced and increased open space on the pier as well as the building’s roof, and retail space filled with destination stores, restaurants and neighborhood shops. The design is contemporary yet draws from the site’s history as a bustling marketplace and renowned maritime port.
