Further distinguishing Summerlin from its competitors, we introduce The Summit, a 555-acre joint venture with Discovery Land Company to develop an exclusive luxury golf course community with low density custom homes.
Developed on land acquired by our namesake, the 22,500-acre Summerlin moved in its first residents in 1991 and has nearly 100,000 residents today.
In opening the long awaited Downtown Summerlin in late 2014, we created a true downtown offering a vibrant shopping, dining and entertainment destination in the community. The first multifamily development in Downtown Summerlin, a joint venture the Calida Group, is now open with 124 luxury rental units and the Las Vegas Golden Knights NHL practice facility is scheduled to open in 2017.
There are more than 7,000 gross developable acres remaining, and its population upon completion of the community is expected to exceed 200,000 residents.
